Damascus Petrochemical Refinery

1- Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. was established on 27.11.2000 and obtained the license of investment as per the Investment Law No. (10).

2-Cornerstone was commenced under the patronage of the Prime Minister on 28.06.2001 in Al-Dmeir city, where in the refinery was established on the area of (100000m2).

3-Total value of this project foundation reaches fourteen million US Dollars, more than nine US Dollars was spent up till now.

4- Production capacity of Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. is more than 200 thousand barrels per year that equals 30% of the mineral oils local consumption.

5- This project may ensure more than 130 direct job opportunities, as 95 employees were committed till now, in addition to more than 300 indirect job opportunities in various governorates .

6- Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. was awarded the certificate of product analyzing and complying with the international specifications of basic oils by “SADCOB” (Syrian Company for Storage and Distributing Petroleum Materials).

7– Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. has put up an integral program to enhance the environmental awareness in society that was by establishing Green Establishment for environment protection . This establishment is licensed by the

Investment law No. (10).The first project of this establishment was AL kHADRAA Environmental Newspaper.

8- Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. had obtained the ISO certificates 9001 for Management 6.sep.2005, 14001 for Environment 14.sep.2005 and 18001 for Occupational and Safety Management System from SGS Company accredited by the British UKAS. As a result for the huge success in this domain an Auditor lead certificate was issued for one of the company employee ,so the Damascus Petrochemical Refinery was authorized to make an ISO courses for other companies.

Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co . has the honor to be the first Irani investors in Syria.
Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co. has the honor to be the first company in Syria that was awarded ISO 14001 Certificate for environment in petroleum & gas fields.
Damascus Petrochemical Refinery Co . has the honor to be the first private company who interests in petroleum & gas fields, which is linked with Damascus University by Cooperation Protocol to graduate students of Master in (environment, quality & safety)with cooperating of Puatiee French University.
